Barbie Cake


Ingredients:


Chocolate cake - 2 of 7 Inch circle

Chocolate cake - 1 made in bowl shape

Chocolate cake - 1 made in 1 cup bowl

Pink frosting - 16 Oz

White frosting - 32 Oz

Edible decorating sprinkles - 1 Tbsp

Method:


1) Wash barbie with soap water,wrap it with sellotape and keep aside.

2) Take the cake base and put some frosting on it. Put the 7 inch circle cake on it.

3) Take a small 1 inch circle cutter and cut in the middle circle to fit in barbie's legs. 

4) Put the frosting around it. Repeat this process for another 7 inch circle cake.

5) Cut the small circle in the middle of bowl shape cake and put it on 7 inch circle cake so that edges of cut circle should match.

6) Put the frosting on top side around cut circle.


 

7) Cut the small circle in the middle of 1 cup bowl cake and put it on second layer.

8) Now put the barbie through cut circle and make her stand .

9) Put the pink frosting around the barbie dress with spatula. If required you can cut the sides of cake to shape it like a dress.



10) Take your favorite tip and make you favorite design on barbie dress. I used star tip.

11) For barbie's upper body I used a writing tip to just put straight lines and sprinkle the color sugar(sprinkles) on it.

Eggless Chocolate Chip Muffins


Preparation Time - 10 Min                                    Cooking Time - 20 Min

This recipe makes 8 standard size muffins.

Ingredients :


All purpose flour - 1  Cup

Granulated Sugar - 1/4 Cup

Packed brown sugar - 3 tbsp

Chocolate chip - 1/2 Cup

Baking powder - 2 Tsp

Baking soda - a pinch

Salt - a pinch

Butter - 1/4 Cup or 1/2 Stick

Yogurt or Buttermilk - 1/4 Cup

Pure vanilla extract - 1/2 Tsp

Water - 2 Tbsp

Oil - 2 Tbsp


Method:


1) Preheat oven  to 375° F or 190° C.

2) In a bowl mix yogurt, oil,vanilla extract,water and melted butter, whisk it well.
    Tip: You can use milk instead of yogurt/buttermilk.


 
3) In another bowl mix all purpose flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
    Tip : If you sieve the dry mixture(except sugar) for 2-3 times ingredients mix together very well.
            Do not pack down the flour in measuring cup. First loosen your flour with a spoon and then fill in measuring cup.



4) Add chocolate chip to flour mixture and mix well and add milk mixture. Mix the ingredients lightly to a smooth batter.
    Tip : Do not over mix, muffins may become hard.

5) Put paper liners to muffin pan and put the batter. You can garnish with few chocolate chips.
     Tip: Fill only 1/2 or 3/4 of muffin cup with batter.



6) Bake in preheated oven for 16-20 mins or toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7) Let it cool for 15 min and then serve.

Basic Eggless Cake/ Maida Cake

Preparation Time - 10 Min                     Cooking Time - 30 Min                          Serves - 6

Ingredients :


All purpose flour - 2 Cup

Sugar(Powdered) - 1 1/2  Cup

Butter -  1/4 Cup

Milk - 1 Cup

Baking Powder - 1 Tsp

Vanilla or your favorite essence - 1/2  Tsp

Method :


1) In a small pan heat butter and milk together till butter melts on low flame, stirring continuously.

2) In a bowl mix all purpose flour and sugar and add milk mixture in it.

3) Add baking powder and mix well until batter is smooth beating continuously. Add essence.

4) Preheat oven to 350° F or 175° C. Grease cake pan with a butter/ghee and add the batter to it.

5) Bake for 30 minutes. Cake is done when toothpick come out dry. Nice aroma will also come when it's done.

You can bake the cake in pressure cooker instead of oven but do not forget to remove the whistle.
Always bake the cake on low flame.
