Mumbai Tomato Pulao


Ingredients :


Rice - 1 cup

Chopped tomato - 1 Cup

Chopped onion - 1/2 Cup

Chopped capsicum - 1/2 Cup

Green peas - 2 Tbsp

Cilantro - 1/4 Cup

Ginger garlic paste - 2 Tsp

Tomato ketchup - 1/2 Cup

Green Chili - 1

Red chili powder - 1/4 Tsp

Pav bhaji masala - 2 Tsp

Salt - to taste

Method :


1) Wash rice till water runs clean. Add 2 cup water in rice, cook it and keep aside.

2) Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds and ginger garlic paste, green chili and saute well.

3) Add onion and saute well till onions become soft. 

4) Add tomato and fry for 2 mins and add tomato ketchup.

5) Add capsicum, cilantro and green peas and fry for 2 mins.

6) Add red chili powder and pav bhaji masala and mix well.

7) Add 1/2 cup of water and salt and let it boil with masala.

8) Add cooked rice and mix well with masala.

9) Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
    Tip: If you like you can add grated cheese to garnish.
